Our Knowledge:

The Evolution of Business Ecosystems

(a.k.a.Blue vs Red)

The IISL’s knowledge, which is based on 15 years of rigorous academic research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the University of Oxford, the London School of Economics (LSE), Ashridge Business School and Duke Corporate Education, represents a meta-theory of how, when and why individuals, organisations and markets/economies succeed over time - known as The Evolution of Business Ecosystems.  Although based in academic rigour, it is steeped in relevance, as it is co-developed by senior executives for senior executives, solving their most difficult problems.

At its core is a continuum of cognitive frames (or “lenses”) through which leaders can view and act in the world, the extremes of which are known in the academy as “modular” and “integral”, and known colloquially around the world as “Blue vs Red.”

One of the longest-running, most global, relevant and rigorous

research programmes for senior executives in the world.

“This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back.

You take the blue pill—the story ends,

you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe.

You take the red pill—you stay in Wonderland,

and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Remember: all I'm offering is the truth. Nothing more.”

“You’ve been living in a dreamworld.

This is the world as it exists today... welcome to the desert of the real.”
